CENTERVILLE PA- Hazel Marie (Miller) Bragg, 94, of Centerville, passed away on Monday April 11, 2022 at Allegany Health- Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born March 9, 1928 in Bedford Pa., she was the daughter of the late Richard and Melinda (Miller) Miller. She was also preceded in death by her husband Joseph E. “Gene” Bragg, her granddaughter Kelly M. (Swader) Dent; her son-in-laws Joseph B. Duffy and Robert Stout; her siblings Dice (Williams) Bennett, Sherman Williams, Walter Miller, Lou Miller, Flora (Miller) Hoopengardner, Mary (Miller) Adams, Melvin Miller, Irene (Miller) Gordon, Clara (Miller) Hoopengardner, Benten Miller, and an unknown Baby Girl. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Hazel was a seamstress for over 27 years for the Everett Sewing Factory. She loved cooking and baking, working in the garden, canning, fishing, and up until her 80s she still went hunting. Above all, Hazel loved her husband, her children, her grandchildren, her great grandchildren, and all her extended family.
Surviving are her children Pamela J. Swader and husband Haskell “Bob” of Centerville, Rita Stout of South Dakota, Cheryl A. Cook and husband Richard of Centerville, and Vaughn K. Bragg and wife Diana of Centerville; her grandchildren Tammy Davis and husband Gary, Tracy (Swader) Corr, Jessica Freeling and husband Steve, Carrie Stout, Bradley Duffy and wife Rebekah, Jesse Crone and wife Tracey, Rebecca Fitzhugh and husband Austin, and Joseph C. Bragg; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The Family will Receive Friends at the Bradley J. Duffy Funeral Home P.A. 1322 National Highway, LaVale on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Harold R. McClay Jr. officiating.
Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Centerville.
